Website policy draft
Privacy
This page describes optional analytics controls and the intended handling of website requests. Broader privacy terms remain a draft requiring owner and legal review.
Draft — review required
Optional website analytics and your choice
When optional first-party analytics is enabled, it starts only after you choose Accept analytics. Reject analytics is available alongside acceptance, and Analytics preferences lets you change your choice at any time. Consent to being contacted about a request is separate and does not enable analytics. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals turn analytics off.
With permission, the website sends reviewed public page paths, page views, phone and inquiry-link clicks, controlled campaign labels, a broad referrer category, and event times to our ServiceOps system. A random first-party session groups activity until 30 minutes of inactivity; it is not a count of distinct people. After an accepted service, quote or contact request, the server may add its actual receipt reference and request category to that session. A click is not a completed call or request.
Analytics does not include form contents, names, email addresses, IP addresses, device fingerprints, raw referrer URLs, query strings or precise location. It does not identify you as an existing customer or infer your location from customer records. Separate hosting security logs and request-handling records are not covered by this analytics collection description.
Only your analytics choice is saved in browser local storage. The short-lived session uses a signed, HttpOnly, same-site cookie after consent. ServiceOps analytics retention is configured for 30 days; intake and other business records have separate retention needs. Rejecting later stops future tracking and clears the current analytics cookie, but does not retract events already received. No third-party analytics service is used by this feature.
Information the website may collect
The website may collect information a visitor chooses to provide while requesting service, asking about a product, submitting an order, or contacting Slag Services.
- Contact and company information
- Service location, equipment, and request details
- Product, quote, order, and delivery information
- Technical records used for security, reliability, and troubleshooting
How information may be used
Information submitted through the website is intended to help Slag Services review your inquiry, contact you and manage the service, quote or product request.
Information may also be used to respond to the request, operate and secure the website, maintain business records, and improve the reliability of the request process.
Service providers and vendors
Information may need to be shared with service providers that support hosting, communications, payments, security, or business operations. Product and delivery information may also need to be shared with a selected dropship vendor after internal review. The final notice must identify applicable categories and legally required details after those providers are selected.
Retention, security, and choices
Business-record retention periods, regional rights, request-verification procedures, and final security disclosures remain to be approved. The optional analytics behavior described above is separate from those broader policy decisions; this draft does not guarantee absolute security or establish legal rights.
Until a dedicated privacy channel is approved, privacy questions can be raised through the website contact workflow. Do not submit sensitive personal, financial, medical, export-controlled, or regulated information unless the final form specifically requests it.
